Technology Transfer Offices Inauguration – September 22, 2010

Technology Transfer Offices TTO had been launched on four Egyptian universities namely American University in Cairo (AUC) and Cairo, Helwan and Assiut Universities as a part of the Enterprise-University Partnership (EUPART) project in cooperation with TEMPUS.

The TTOs will support in house research at all stages of technology implementation: from idea to invention to market-ready product, through the process of intellectual property protection, and the full-on commercialization of intellectual property. In particular, the Offices’ objectives are:

・ To transfer new knowledge and technology for the benefit of the public and business community
・ To diversify and increase corporate support of faculty research
・ To protect and manage the intellectual property assets of the University
・ To promote a more established local and regional knowledge based society
